All bookings are taken on a Saturday to Saturday
basis - but please see below regarding the festive season.
In view of the fact that Christmas and New Year in
2011 and 2012 fall rather inconveniently for Saturday-to-Saturday
bookings, we will consider mid-week to mid-week bookings for the festive
periods only.
The
above prices are all inclusive of heating, electricity, and bed linen.
An
initial supply of coal is provided, sufficient to get the open fire
started. Thereafter, we can supply further coal at cost. Alternatively,
small bags of coal may be purchased nearby in the village.
Towels
are not provided, and you should please bring your
own towels with you.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (free of charge).
You must ensure that your pet is kept under close control at all times
and is not allowed to cause any dirt or damage. Although the garden at
Island Cottage is enclosed by a fence, you
should ensure that your dog is supervised whilst outside in the garden.
A 20%
non-refundable deposit is payable at the time of booking, with the
remaining balance payable 6 weeks before the start of your holiday.
Payment
in full is required at the time of booking if there are less than 6
weeks remaining until the start of your holiday.
We do
not charge a booking fee.
In the
event of cancellation, payments (other than the deposit) will be
refunded only if we are successful in re-letting the week(s) you
have booked. It is therefore wise to effect appropriate holiday
cancellation insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
Cancellation insurance is not included with your booking but your
insurance company or insurance broker should be able to assist in
arranging this cover.
In order
to place a booking, we require a completed Booking Form together with
the appropriate payment by cheque.
We regret
that, as a small business, we are unable to accept payment by credit or
debit card.
